Stupid me, I was walking on a boat launch ramp at the beach within an hour of my holiday starting and I slipped and fell on my wrist. I broke both my arm bones both at the wrist, the smaller bone in one place and the larger in two places. So much for kayaking and golfing for the rest of the summer. At least I didn't need surgery.

I'm doing okay, other than having a fairly sucky summer so far. It's kinda tuff to play with the ipod, talk on the phone and smoke while driving with one arm, but I've been able to manage a combination of activities.

First pic is before the wrist was set, of course. The second is cast # 1, I'm wearing a fleece jacket I picked up for $10, so that I could keep warm and slice the sleave. Third picture is the aftermath bruising, a couple of days later the blood was beginning to flow out of the arm (just like in Scotland when I fell).
